Yes. CeramicPlus is resistant to disinfectants when used as directed. Very strong agents with a pH above 12, or those containing chlorine, may affect the surface if left in contact for a prolonged period.

CeramicPlus is safe for use with commonly available household cleaning products, including those containing acids, solvents and detergent. Please avoid abrasive powders and prolonged contact with strong alkaline products (e.g. drain cleaners), as these can affect the surface over time.

No. CeramicPlus is resistant to solvents such as alcohol and acetone and to the types of chemicals typically found in cosmetic products.

With heavy use, you may occasionally notice residue despite the ongoing dirt-repellent action of CeramicPlus. For limescale, use a standard descaler; for soap or grease residues, a household cleaner that targets greasy dirt works best. CeramicPlus makes these residues easier to remove than on untreated ceramic.

CeramicPlus repels water (hydrophobic action) and oils (oleophobic action), causing liquid to readily bead up and roll off the surface and carry dirt and limescale with it. This makes surfaces easier to clean and keeps them looking fresher for longer.

For routine cleaning, use a soft sponge or cloth with a gentle all-purpose cleaner. Avoid abrasive powder cleaners, as these can reduce the beading effect over time. 

All CeramicPlus products carry a “Cplus” mark. On some items, this appears as a large “C” together with the wording “CeramicPlus Villeroy & Boch.”

CeramicPlus is available across the full range of Villeroy & Boch bathroom ceramics (toilets and washbasins). Some colours and series come with CeramicPlus as standard, while others offer it as an optional add-on.
